The inspiration for this particular dish stems from a truly unforgettable journey to Athens and Corfu, Greece, celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary. My husband and I embarked on a dream trip across the Mediterranean, and the culinary experiences there were nothing short of heavenly. From the moment we returned, I yearned to recreate those vibrant flavors, particularly the succulent pork gyros and souvlaki, paired with an abundance of creamy tzatziki and feta dips. These dips, served with fresh vegetables, warm pita bread, and alongside various meats, left an indelible mark on my palate. This desire to revisit those cherished memories, and to bring that authentic Greek taste into my home kitchen, led to the creation of this easy Greek pork chop recipe.
These Easy Baked Greek Pork Chops with Creamy Feta Sauce have quickly become a household favorite. It’s a remarkably hearty and satisfying meal, yet it possesses a delightful lightness that won’t leave you feeling weighed down. The perfect balance of robust flavor and refreshing creaminess makes it suitable for any season.

Whether it’s the peak of summer, calling for light and refreshing meals, or the depths of winter, demanding comforting and rich dinners, this Greek pork chops recipe adapts beautifully. The cool, creamy sauce provides a perfect counterpoint during warmer months, while the savory baked pork offers a wonderfully fulfilling experience when temperatures drop. Its versatility extends further, as it’s also a fantastic low-carb and keto-friendly pork chop recipe, allowing you to enjoy authentic Greek flavors while adhering to dietary preferences all year long. This recipe truly offers the best of both worlds: incredible taste and broad appeal.
This enticing Greek pork chop and creamy feta dip recipe draws its delicious roots from my immensely popular and incredibly flavorful Greek Souvlaki recipe. We’ve expertly adapted that beloved flavor profile to perfectly complement succulent baked pork chops, ensuring every bite is infused with authentic Mediterranean goodness. But we didn’t stop there! We’ve also taken my classic easy Tzatziki dip and elevated it with a generous addition of scrumptious, crave-worthy feta cheese. The result is a show-stopping sauce that not only beautifully enhances the pork chops but also doubles as an impressive party dip, guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser!

Crafting the Perfect Creamy Feta Sauce
The heart of this incredible dish lies in its creamy feta sauce, a vibrant condiment inspired by my recent, unforgettable trip to Athens. While reminiscent of classic Greek Tzatziki (you can find my traditional Tzatziki recipe here), this version boasts an intensified flavor profile thanks to the star ingredient: feta cheese. We begin with the foundational elements of Tzatziki, then enrich it with copious amounts of crumbly feta and extra minced garlic. This thoughtful addition creates a sauce brimming with authentic Greek-inspired flavor that truly sings on the palate.
Beyond its incredible taste, this creamy feta sauce is also remarkably versatile and accommodating. It’s a fantastic keto and low-carb option, making it a healthy yet delicious addition to various meals. While it pairs perfectly with these baked Greek pork chops, its robust flavor profile also makes it an excellent accompaniment for chicken, beef, or even grilled vegetables. Don’t limit yourself to main courses; this sauce shines brightly as a standalone dip, perfect for entertaining or a simple snack. Its chunky texture and bright, tangy notes will elevate any plate.
Essential Ingredients for the Creamy Feta Sauce:
Gathering these simple ingredients will allow you to whip up this flavorful sauce with ease. Each component contributes to the sauce’s distinctive Greek character and delightful creaminess:
- 1 seedless cucumber, finely shredded
- 1.5 cups Greek yogurt (full-fat for richest flavor, or low-fat for a lighter option)
- 2 cloves garlic, freshly minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- Salt, to taste
- (Optional) ½ cup crumbled feta cheese (to be stirred in later, or blended for a smoother sauce)

Simple Steps to Prepare Creamy Feta Sauce:
Creating this flavorful feta sauce is straightforward and requires minimal effort, yielding a wonderfully fresh and tangy accompaniment for your pork chops.
- Begin by finely shredding the seedless cucumber. A box grater works perfectly for this task, ensuring a consistent texture.
- Once shredded, if the cucumber appears excessively watery, place it in a fine-mesh strainer and gently press out the excess liquid. This step is absolutely crucial; you want your cucumber to be moist, not waterlogged, to prevent your sauce from becoming thin and runny. A drier cucumber ensures a thicker, more luxurious dip.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, finely chopped fresh dill, Greek yogurt, extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Stir these ingredients together until they are well incorporated and the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
- Now, gently fold in the crumbled feta cheese. If you prefer a smoother sauce, you can blend the feta with the other ingredients in a food processor, but for a delightful textural contrast, we recommend stirring in the crumbles.
- Allow the flavors to meld and deepen by letting the sauce marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator. This resting period significantly enhances the taste, allowing the garlic, dill, and feta to fully infuse the creamy yogurt.
- Once rested, spoon this exquisite creamy feta sauce generously over your freshly baked Greek pork chops and prepare to savor every delightful bite!

Essential Ingredients for Perfect Greek Pork Chops:
One of the most appealing aspects of this Greek pork chops recipe is its effortless assembly, requiring just a handful of straightforward ingredients. The magic happens with minimal fuss, transforming everyday pork chops into a memorable meal.
While entirely optional, I highly recommend marinating your pork chops for optimal flavor and tenderness. Preparing a simple Greek marinade the day before cooking, or even for just 30 minutes prior, can make a significant difference. Marinating is key to infusing the pork with moisture and deep, aromatic flavors, preventing them from drying out during the baking process. However, if time is short, rest assured these pork chops will still be bursting with incredible Greek flavor, even without the marinade step!
Ingredients for the Easy Greek Pork Chop Marinade:
This simple yet potent marinade is designed to impart bright, savory, and aromatic notes to your pork chops:
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest (for an extra citrusy punch)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Ingredients for the Baked Greek Pork Chops:
Beyond the optional marinade, here’s what you’ll need to prepare the pork chops themselves:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for searing)
- 1 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
- 4 boneless pork chops, ideally 1/2-inch thick. It’s important to choose chops that are neither extra thick nor super thin for best cooking results.

Ingredients
For The Greek Marinade
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
For The Pork Chops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp fresh cracked pepper
- 4 pork chops, 1/2″ thick boneless chops – NOT extra thick or super thin
For The Creamy Feta Sauce
- 1 cucumber seedless, shredded
- 1 ½ cup Greek Yogurt
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp dill finally chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 tbsp vinegar red wine
- salt to taste
Instructions
- For The Pork Chop Marinade
- Combine lemon juice, olive oil, lemon zest, oregano, garlic powder, pork chops, salt, and pepper in a resealable bag. Marinate for a minimum of 3 hours, or ideally, overnight in the refrigerator for maximum flavor penetration.
- For The Pork Chops
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Place a cast iron pan (or any other heavy, oven-safe skillet) into the oven while it preheats. This ensures the pan is piping hot, which is crucial for a good sear.
- Once the oven reaches 375 degrees F and the pan is scorching hot (it should shimmer when you add oil, but not smoke excessively), carefully remove it from the oven. Swirl 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the pan to coat the bottom.
- Season your marinated pork chops with an additional sprinkle of salt and pepper, if desired.
- Carefully place the pork chops into the hot pan, ensuring not to overcrowd it. Cook in batches if necessary to maintain pan temperature and achieve a proper sear.
- Return the pan to the preheated oven and cook until the pork chops are beautifully browned on one side, typically about 6 minutes.
- Flip the pork chops to the other side and place the pan back in the oven.
- After another 6 minutes, begin checking the internal temperature of the pork using a meat thermometer. Thinner pork chops will cook much faster. Pork is safely cooked and at its most tender when it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
- If the pork chops have not yet reached 145 degrees F, continue cooking, checking the temperature every couple of minutes. Cooking times can vary significantly based on the thickness of your pork chops and whether they are bone-in or boneless. Relying on internal temperature rather than strict timing is always the best approach for perfectly cooked pork.
- Once the pork chops reach 145 degrees F internally, remove them from the oven. Allow them to rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving. This resting period is vital for the juices to redistribute, ensuring tender and moist pork.
- For The Creamy Feta Sauce
- Finely shred the seedless cucumber using a box grater.
- If the shredded cucumber is very watery, gently press it in a strainer to remove excess liquid. This prevents the sauce from becoming too thin.
- In a large bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped dill, Greek yogurt, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and salt. Stir well until fully incorporated.
- Fold in the crumbled feta cheese.
- Allow the sauce to sit for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld beautifully.
- Spoon generously over your baked Greek pork chops and enjoy the vibrant, fresh flavors!
